Management of the University of Education, Winneba (UEW) on Tuesday, 21st April, 2020, received 150 medically approved nose masks from a benevolent private clothing entity, Gracelove Creations to fight the dreaded Coronavirus 2019 (Covid-19) pandemic.

In brief remarks, the Registrar, Surv. Paul Osei-Barima, Esq. expressed Management’s gratitude and contentment to the donation. “This local firm is actually contributing its quota to help combat the Covid-19 pandemic. Many a time, individual firms think that it is rather a renowned institution which has to donate to individuals but this local firm has proved otherwise, and that is highly commendable.”

The donation of 150 pieces of mask, according to the spokesperson of Gracelove Creations, Mr. Timothy Mensah was the firm’s mite to helping the University community to contain and stop the spread of the pandemic.
He assured the University Management that his outfit would continue supplying nose masks free of charge to the University till the disease is defeated. He also revealed that UEW was the first organisation to benefit from the kind gesture adding, the next beneficiary would be the office of Effutu Municipal Assembly.
Mr. Mensah asserted that each mask was padded with foam apart from the cloth to prevent viruses from penetrating. He entreated everyone in the University and the Effutu community to prioritise the wearing of nose mask as it is the best precautionary measure to control and limit the spread of the virus.

Receiving the items on behalf of the University, the Director, Health Services, Dr. (Mrs.) Beth Offei-Awuku was enthralled by the benevolence of Gracelove Creations to a famous institution like UEW. She, on behalf of Management, thanked Gracelove Creations for the unexpected kind gesture.
