UEW New Vice-Chancellor Assumes Office, Pledges Visionary Leadership for University

Prof. Stephen Jobson Mitchual, on 2nd October, 2023, officially assumed office as the Vice-Chancellor of the University of Education, Winneba (UEW), with a promise to build on the gains made in fostering a peaceful working environment and leading the university into a new era of excellence and growth.

A distinguished scholar with a Ph.D. in Wood Science and Technology from the prestigious Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology, Prof. Mitchual brings a wealth of experience to his new role. Prior to his appointment as Vice-Chancellor of UEW, he served as the Ag. Pro-Vice-Chancellor of the Akenten Appiah-Menka University of Skills Training and Entrepreneurial Development (AAMUSTED), Kumasi, and had oversight responsibility of the School of Graduate Studies of AAMUSTED for two academic years.

Prof. Mitchual has emphasised a commitment to academic excellence, innovation, and inclusivity. He pledges to work closely with faculty, staff, and students to foster a culture of collaboration and to ensure that UEW continues to be a hub for cutting-edge research and educational advancement.
