UEW Launches an Upgraded Website
In a monumental stride towards a digitally enriched educational landscape, the University of Education, Winneba (UEW), unveiled its revamped website at the School of Creative Arts Theatre, Central Campus, Winneba.
The upgraded platform promises a seamless, user-friendly experience and marks a strategic response to fortify digital infrastructure while elevating the user experience to match the university's standards of excellence.
The new website, launched on Wednesday, 29th November, 2023, emphasises interactivity, featuring innovative tools and resources designed to engage and inspire students. From virtual classrooms to multimedia-rich content, the platform is tailored to enhance the educational experience, equipping students for the challenges and opportunities of the 21st century.
Chancellor and Chair for the occasion, Neenyi Ghartey VII, in welcoming the audience, underscored the milestone's significance, emphasising management's dedication to innovation and dynamic online experiences.
He stated, "Our new website reflects our dedication to fostering a digital environment that not only meets the needs of our current students, faculty, and staff but also reaches out to prospective students, alumni, the business people we engage, and the broader community, both within and outside this country. It is a testament to our unwavering commitment to excellence and progress."
The Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Stephen Jobson Mitchual, highlighted the website as a portal to a world of knowledge, creativity, and limitless opportunities, transcending physical constraints.
"This website is not merely a collection of web pages; it is a testament to our vision for the future. Through this platform, we aim to break down barriers and foster a global community of learners, united in their quest for enlightenment," Prof. Mitchual affirmed.
The Vice-Chancellor extended heartfelt gratitude to the dedicated team of professionals who orchestrated the transformation behind the curtains, bringing life into an extraordinary vision. He praised their creativity, unwavering dedication to duty, expertise, and commitment to excellence, attributing the resounding success of the new website to their collective brilliance. He pledged well-deserved motivation to the team.
Mrs. Wilhelmina Tete-Mensah, the Ag. Registrar, emphasised leveraging the power of the digital space to advance academic excellence, research innovation, and community engagement. She remarked, "In an era where information is key, our website has become a central hub for communication, collaboration, and resource sharing."
Mr. Eric Sekyere Appiah, the principal designer in charge of web development at the Division of Publications and Communication, UEW, provided a detailed overview of the redesigned website, expressing hope that it will serve as a vibrant platform encapsulating the university's spirit.
