2018 Ghana Geographers/Geography Teachers’ Association Annual Conference

Members of the University Community are invited to the Ghana Geographers Association / Ghana Geography Teachers' Association Annual Conference 2018 is scheduled as follows:

The theme for the GGA/GGTA Annual conference 2018 is “Geography – The Missing Link in Ghana’s Development Agenda?”. This theme is necessitated by the fact that in the overall scheme of Ghana’s development drive, the concept of Geography and Geographers seems to be relegated to the background, leaving a huge development gap and sustainability questions.

The GRAND OPENING is scheduled as follows:

Time: 9:00am

Venue: Jophus Anamuah-Mensah Conference Centre, North Campus, University of Education, Winneba

 

Guest of Honour: His Excellency Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, Vice President of Ghana

The Host: Very Rev. Fr. Prof. Anthony Afful-Broni, Ag. Vice-Chancellor, UEW

Chairman: Prof. Samuel Agyei-Mensah, Provost, College of Humanities, UG

 

There will also be Plenary Presentations by:

  • Prof. Jacob Songsore
  • Prof. Kofi Awusabo-Asare
  • Prof. Dr. Dr. Daniel Buor
