UTAG-UEW Honours Dean of SCA
Executives of the University of Education, Winneba (UEW) Chapter of the University Teachers Association of Ghana (UTAG-UEW) have presented a plaque in appreciation of Prof. Emmanuel Obed Acquah, the Dean of the School of Creative Arts (SCA), for his support to the Association.
The presentation recognised Prof. Acquah’s kind gesture in allocating office space to UTAG-UEW to facilitate its daily administrative activities and operations. The executives noted that the provision of a dedicated office has significantly enhanced the Association’s ability to coordinate its programmes, engage its members effectively and execute its mandate with greater efficiency.
Speaking during the brief ceremony, Mr. Stephen Osei Akyiaw, the President of UTAG-UEW, expressed profound gratitude to the Dean for his thoughtfulness and commitment to creating an enabling environment for the Association to function effectively. He indicated that the gesture reflects his appreciation of the role staff associations play in promoting the welfare of members and contributing to institutional development.
According to the UTAG-UEW President, the allocation of office space demonstrates a spirit of partnership and practical support that strengthens the Association’s operations and reinforces collaborative relationships within the University community.
Receiving the plaque, Prof. Acquah thanked the executives for the honour. He reaffirmed his continuous support for UTAG-UEW and assured them of his readiness to offer any assistance within his capacity to advance the growth and development of the Association.
He emphasised the importance of cooperation and mutual understanding among stakeholders in fostering a peaceful and progressive academic environment.
