The Simpa Hall Junior Common Room (JCR) executives of 2019/2020 and 2020/2021, led by Mr. Emmanuel Fumey and Mr. John Richard Mensah, have commissioned projects at the Hall’s enclaves at the North Campus of the University of Education, Winneba (UEW).

The projects commissioned were the renovated Male JCR and Simpa Hall Mosque as well as the provision of two 13,500 capacity poly tanks to augment the already existing resources at the Hall.

The two executives bought chairs, curtains, a television set to refurbish the Male JCR and two air conditioners for installation at the Simpa Hall reading room.

The Manageress of Simpa Hall, Mrs. Irene-Michelle Ofosu-Behome, who welcomed attendees at the gathering, expressed gratitude to the good Lord for His grace and mercies that brought them thus far as an institution and even amid the deadly pandemic that has hit the world at large.

“I feel so honoured and humbled to welcome you all dignitaries this morning to the commissioning of projects executed by my hard-working JCR Executives of 2019/2020 and 2020/2021 led by Mr. Emmanuel Fumey and Mr. John Richard Mensah’s administration.

“These two administrations have lived to bring to bear the Mission and Vision of this great Hall; to serve as an abode of excellence for students to enable them to acquire the necessary academic proficiency and professional competence and also to provide basic infrastructural facilities and a healthy environment for students to complete their courses. It is a truism that our facilities are very old but through their support and regular maintenance we are able to make the students stay relatively comfortable,” she said.

Mrs. Irene-Michelle Ofosu-Behome appreciated the executives for their selfless services with integrity to the Hall. “They have set a standard to be followed by their successors and we look forward to seeing the next administration continue with their good works.”
