The UEW Co-operative Credit Union Limited wishes to inform its cherished members that vacancies exist for election to the Board of Directors for the Winneba and Kumasi Campuses.

Note: Vacancies under UEW are open to candidates from Winneba only, while the USTED Kumasi vacancy is open to candidates from Kumasi only.
Eligibility Criteria
(I) Board of Directors
-
- A member eligible for election onto the Board shall be a staff of UEW or USTED and a member of the Union for a minimum period of three years.
- Must be age 21 or above, of sound mind and of good character with no criminal records.
- Must be abreast with the concept and operations of the Credit Union.
- A fair knowledge of the management of a business
- Must be financially literate
- Must adhere to the loan policy of the Credit Union
- Must not be an employee of the Credit Union
- Must not be an owner, partner, employee, or director of any business or organization that is in the same or similar business as or in competition with the Credit Union.
- Must not be an employee of any of the institutions directly regulating or supervising the Credit Union.
- Must not be a director or Manager of a failed financial institution at the time of failure.
- Must be attending the Annual General Meeting of the Credit Union on regular basis, for three consecutive years.
- Must not be in partisan politics, be a chief, or a trade Union leader.
- A person who has a criminal record shall not be eligible for election
- A person who has served part of his/her term as a co-opted member on the Board will be considered as part of the years served.
- For any member to be elected onto the Board, they must have deposits of GHS10,000.00 and GHS5,000.00 for savings and shares, respectively for the last six months prior to the elections.
Vetting of Candidates
To qualify to contest, an aspiring candidate shall be vetted by a Vetting Committee in accordance with the Union’s Bye Laws Article 46.
Close of Nomination
All completed nomination forms shall be submitted to the Publications Unit with the detailed address below, not later than Wednesday, June 17, 2026 at 4 pm.
