Final-year Multimedia students of the Department of Graphic Design, School of Creative Arts, University of Education, Winneba (UEW), on Friday, 24th October, 2025, presented a 35-minute documentary on the University Hospital to the management of the University Health Services Directorate (UHSD).

The Department of Chemistry Education (DCE) at the University of Education, Winneba (UEW) in collaboration with the UEW Chapter of the American Chemical Society (ACS-UEW) has organised a Chemistry Festival in the Ajumako/Enyan/Essiam District of the Central Region.  

The Department of Integrated Science Education (DISE) at the University of Education, Winneba (UEW), on Thursday, 23rd October, 2025, organised a chemistry outreach programme for final-year students of St. Brother Andre Senior High School in the Central Region of Ghana.

The event, held under the auspices of the University’s Annual Chemistry Festival, took the learners to the B.S.A. Alata Soap Production Company in Awutu Bawjiase, where they explored the scientific principles behind locally made soap.

The University of Education, Winneba (UEW) through its Department of Integrated Science Education, in collaboration with the Central Regional Directorate of the Ghana Education Service (GES) celebrated the 2025 International Day of the Girl Child at Edinaman Senior High School, Elmina, on Monday, 13th October, 2025.

Fourteen students of the University of Education, Winneba (UEW) have earned selection into the 2025 cohort of the Millennium Fellowship, one of the world’s most competitive student leadership programmes jointly implemented by the United Nations Academic Impact (UNAI) and the Millennium Campus Network (MCN).

Eight scholars from the University of Education, Winneba (UEW) have launched an initiative aimed at integrating Media and Information Literacy (MIL) into Ghana’s teacher education system.

The project, supported by a UNESCO Ghana grant, seeks to adapt and implement the UNESCO MIL Curriculum to equip trainee teachers with the competencies needed to navigate the increasingly complex digital information landscape.

The University of Education, Winneba (UEW) through its Institute for Educational Research and Innovation Studies (IERIS) hosted a two-day international conference at the North Campus Mini-Conference Room on Thursday, 16th and Friday, 17th October, 2025.

The School of Business (SoB) at the University of Education, Winneba (UEW), in collaboration with the UEW Innovation Hub, the University of Ghana Business School (UGBS), the British Council and AfriVenture has organised a capacity-building workshop to train students in entrepreneurship, innovation and employability skills.

The workshop, dubbed THINK Graduate Entrepreneurship and Employability Training (THINKGEES), took place at the North Campus of the UEW on Wednesday, 15th October, 2025.

The collaboration between the University of Education, Winneba (UEW), the Ghana Museums and Monuments Board (GMMB), and the National Museum of Ghana reached a new milestone when Ebenezer Mensah, a final-year student from UEW’s Department of Art Education, officially donated his innovative graphic design project titled “Traditional Spade Card.”

The Management of the University of Education, Winneba (UEW) and eTranzact Ghana Limited have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to promote technological innovation, strengthen research collaboration and enhance the employability of students through practical industry experience in financial technology and mobile technology development.

The agreement was signed at the Council Chamber of the University on Thursday, 16th October, 2025.
