IERIS and IEPA Forge Pathway for Education Excellence

In an initiative to advance educational outcomes across Ghana, the Institute for Educational Research and Innovation Studies (IERIS) embarked on a strategic visit to the Institute for Educational Planning and Administration (IEPA) at the University of Cape Coast (UCC).
Prof. Michael Boakye-Yiadom, Director General of IEPA and his team welcomed the IERIS delegation led by Prof. Hope Pius Nudzor.
The meeting on Tuesday, 18th March, 2025 discussed issues of mutual interests and potential research collaborations. Both institutions highlighted impactful research initiatives and outlined ambitious plans to further educational development in Ghana.
Prof. Nudzor, representing IERIS, emphasised their commitment to innovative educational research, while Prof. Boakye-Yiadom articulated IEPA's strategic focus on educational planning and administration. The presentations underscored shared goals and complementary strengths of synergistic collaborations.
The institutes agreed to explore a partnership through a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU). The Deputy Director-General for Administration at IEPA and the Deputy Registrar at IERIS were tasked to outline the collaborative frameworks that would bolster teaching and learning practices nationwide.
Central to their vision is the pivotal role of joint efforts in advancing Sustainable Development Goal 4 (SDG4) and achieving the 2030 Education Agenda. IERIS and IEPA aim to pioneer innovative approaches that enhance educational quality, empower educators, and foster inclusive learning environments across Ghana, pooling expertise and resources.
Both teams departed with a renewed sense of purpose and anticipation, poised to embark on a transformative journey that promises to elevate educational standards and impact generations to come.
This collaborative endeavour between IERIS and IEPA stands as a testament to the power of partnership in driving educational excellence and societal progress, setting a precedent for future collaborations within the academic community and beyond.
