Dr. MENSAKLO, Emmanuel
Biography
Emmanuel Mensaklo is a lecturer in the Department of Economics Education at UEW, Ghana, and Head of Research at Dataking Consulting and Research Lab. He holds a PhD in Economics from Chiang Mai University, Thailand, with expertise in both frequentist and Bayesian econometrics, machine learning, financial economics, health economics, public finance, environmental and natural resources economics, mathematical economics, and game theory. He also holds an MPhil (Economics) from the University of Ghana, Legon, and a BA (Economics) from the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology.
Dr. Mensaklo's teaching experience spans all levels of Ghana's educational ladder. Prior to joining UEW, Dr. Mensaklo served as Acting Head of the Department of Marketing and Supply Chain Management and the Industrial Attachment Coordinator at Evangelical Presbyterian University College (EPUC), Ho, Ghana, where he also, for more than a decade, taught undergraduate courses in economics and quantitative methods. He also taught statistics for economics and business in the MBA programme at EPUC. Earlier, he had been an economics tutor at the University of Ghana (Distance Education Programme, Tsito Centre). He also has almost a decade and a half of experience in teaching at the second and basic levels as an economics, mathematics, and ICT teacher.
Dr. Mensaklo's research focuses on advanced econometric modelling, both frequentist and Bayesian approaches, exploring nonlinear economic dynamics and integrating machine learning algorithms to analyze financial and economic variables. He is a published scholar, with book chapters, journal articles, and international conference presentations covering topics on economic growth, financial volatility, resource rents, and sustainable development.
