Dr. Amoah, John Ekow Mbir

Be it as it may, I started my basic education in St. Martin De Porres and Datus Complex schools respectively, in Accra. Having passed my BECE with distinction in 1994, then proceeded to Mfantsipim School to read General Science (Biology option) in 1995 -1997 in the Central Region of Ghana. After completion of Mfantsipim School I proceeded to Komenda Training College in 1998 for a 3 Year- Post Secondary education leading to the award of Teachers certificate 'A'. In September, 2001 I was posted  to Kedzi Methodist Primary at Shama Beach, and later transferred to Essawa M/A Primary and JHS respectively in  the Western Region of Ghana. Having served for a period of three years I sought for study leave to pursue Bachelor of Science Education (Biology major and Chemistry minor) at the University of Education, Winneba in 2004-2008. Upon graduation I was posted to Mfantsipim in September,2008 to teach Biology. I started a post graduate diploma programme in Management of Information Systems at Ghana Institute of Management and Public Administration from January- December 2009 and also gained admission to pursue an M.Phil in Science Education (Biology option) at the University of Education, Winneba. Interestingly I got married in 2009. I graduated successfully in July, 2011. In 2015 I applied for the PhD in Science Education (Biology option) and graduated successfully in 2018. Having served for 13 years at Mfantsipim School I resigned finally  in March, 2021 and joined University of Education,Winneba Faculty of Science Education, Department of Biology Education in April, 2021."There are so many worlds, so much to do, so little done, such to things to be" (Tennysons in memoriam)
