Dr. Kassah, Jemimah Etornam

Jemimah Etornam Kassah holds a PhD in Fisheries Science from the University of Cape Coast, Ghana, where her research into the fisheries biology and stock status of Atlantic chub mackerel, an economically important species in Ghana’s marine artisanal fishery provided valuable information on the species for management purposes.  She is actively involved in research, teaching, public relations and volunteer work. Her research interests include Blue Justice in artisanal fisheries, fisheries biology, aquaculture, fisheries oceanography and biodiversity conservation. She loves to make biology easier to understand through storytelling and science communication.
