VICE-CHANCELLOR OF UEW PAYS A COURTESY CALL ON OMANHENE

The Vice-Chancellor of the University of Education, Winneba, Prof. Mawutor Avoke has paid a courtesy call on the Omanhene of the Effutu Traditional Area, Neenyi Ghartey VII on 7th June, 2016 as a way of strengthening relationship ties with the traditional rulers of the land.

In a remark by the Vice-Chancellor, he said the call was to introduce the new leadership of the University to the Omanhene and his sub-chiefs. He noted that every institution is situated within a community and it is appropriate to accord the necessary courtesies to the traditional rulers and people of the land. He was hopeful that the relationship will grow to a much deeper and higher level.

On his part, the Omanhene of Effutu Traditional Area commended the delegation from UEW for the respect accorded to them by introducing its new leaders to the traditional rulers. He advised the University leadership to continue to work towards the upliftment of the image of the University.

The delegation included the Pro-Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Rev. Fr. Anthony Afful-Broni, the Registrar, Dr. C.Y. Akwaa-Mensah, the Deputy Registrar, Division of Publications and Communications, Mr. Steve van Kamassah, Mr. Israel E. Fugar, Division of Publications and Communication and Ms. Eva Annan, Division of Publications and Communications.
