Ghartey Hall Hosts MTN Ghana for SIM Card Re-registration Exercise
Management of Ghartey Hall, University of Education, Winneba (UEW), has partnered with MTN Ghana Limited, Winneba branch, for the ongoing nationwide biometric SIM card re-registration. This is part of efforts to bring convenience to students and staff.
The registration exercise hosted by Ghartey Hall, initially slated for 14th to 18th March, 2022, was extended to 22nd March, 2022. The extension was to assist more students and staff to evade the long queues at the various telecommunications offices and agencies by meeting the stipulated deadline by the Ministry of Communications and Digitalisation.
The Hall Manageress, Dr. Mrs. Patricia Ananga, in an interview revealed that though the exercise was student-based, it would also include the staff. “There is a special arrangement for faculty and staff considering the nature of the schedules of staff. We have arranged with MTN to send their team to the doorsteps of the faculties (Foreign Languages, Communications, School of Business and Science) at different scheduled dates, to enable them to also register their SIMS”.
