GCB BANK Sponsors GRASAG-UEW Conference

Management of GCB Bank Limited on the 8th of May, 2017 gave a Cheque of Three Thousand Ghana Cedis (GH¢3,000.00) to Graduate Students Association of Ghana, University of Education, Winneba (GRASAG-UEW) Chapter to support their 2nd International Multi-disciplinary Conference for Postgraduate Student (IMCfPS).

Mr. Godwill Senaye, Branch Manager of GCB Bank Limited, Winneba presented the cheque to Mr. Stephen Osei Akyiaw, Unified President, GRASAG-UEW on behalf of the bank. This gesture is part of the bank’s Corporate Social Responsibility and contributions towards supporting postgraduate education in Ghana.

The Unified President, GRASAG-UEW Stephen Osei Akyiaw in his acceptance speech mentioned that the association was grateful for the support given them, since it’s the first time GRASAG-UEW has received sponsorship from GCB Bank Limited. He continued by extending appreciations to Mr. Rex Godwin Gborglah, the immediate past Branch Manager of GCB Bank Winneba for his commitment during the processing of the sponsorship.

Mr Osei Akyiaw assured the bank that the sponsorship would be put to good use and went on to say that the kind gesture would go a long way to equip students with the needed expertise to enable them to continue being partners in National development through research and practice.

IMCfPS@UEW is an annual conference organized by GRASAG-UEW to provide opportunities to postgraduate students, practitioners and educators across the globe to share knowledge and experiences in a multidisciplinary manner. 

The IMCfPS@UEW Organizing Committee is chaired by Professor Kolawole Raheem, Head, School and Community Science and Technology Education (SACOST) UEW. Other members of the Organizing Committee are Professor Cosmas Mereku, Secretary, Organising Committee and Dean, Student Affairs, UEW; Professor Jonathan Ammah, Dean, School of Graduate Studies, UEW as a Senior Member of Organising Committee; Dr. Harrison Golo, Acting Director, Centre for Conflicts, Human Rights and Peace Studies (CHRAPS) UEW, as a Senior Member of Organising Committee, GRASAG Executives and other graduate students in the university.
