Academic Board Congratulates the new Vice-Chancellor, Rev. Fr. Prof. Anthony Afful-Broni

At the Academic Board meeting of the University of Education, Winneba, held on the 18th of September, 2018, members of the Board, led by Professor Yaw Ameyaw nominated Dr. Faith Ben-Daniels to congratulate the new Vice-Chancellor on behalf of the Board.

The members congratulated the Vice-Chancellor, Rev. Fr. Prof. Anthony Afful-Broni, for a successful Investiture and Induction held on the 17th of September, 2018.

Rev. Fr. Prof. Anthony Afful-Broni was also commended for being the first Catholic priest to become Vice-Chancellor of the University, and for also accepting the herculean responsibility to serve and lead the University of Education, Winneba through its challenging times.

The Board pledged its support to work with the newly appointed Vice-Chancellor to bring about reconciliation and growth to the University of Education, Winneba as charged by His Excellency Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo during the Investiture and Induction Ceremony.

Rev. Fr. Prof. Anthony Afful-Broni was constitutionally appointed as Vice-Chancellor by the University of Education, Winneba Governing Council on 30th August, 2018. On 6th September, 2018, his appointment was confirmed by the Ministry of Education.
