Publicity For 2022 International Women’s Day

As part of the effort to promote gender sensitivity within the University community and its environs, the Gender Mainstreaming Directorate is organising this year’s International Women’s Day event (IWD) 2022. This year’s event is specially planned for the community for a much wider impact. The details are as follows:

Theme: Gender Equality Today for a Sustainable Tomorrow 

Campaign theme: #BreakTheBias 

Keynote Speaker: Dr. Theresa Amu, HOD, Family Life Management, Home Economics Education 

Guest of Honour: Hon. Alhaji Zubairu Kassim, Municipal Chief Executive Officer (MCE) Effutu, Municipality. 

Other Speakers: 

  • Prof. Andy Ofori-Birikorang, Pro-Vice-Chancellor, UEW 
  • Mrs. Mabel Judith Micah, Director for Ghana Education Service, Effutu Municipality 

Core Target: Market Women, Fishmongers, Staff, and Students of UEW
