Applications are invited from qualified employees of the University of Education, Winneba to apply for appointments to vacant positions in the following offices of the University:

  1. Finance Section (10 vacancies available)
  2. Internal Audit Unit (4 vacancies available)
  3. Procurement Office (1 vacancy available) and
  4. Works and Physical Development Directorate (1 vacancy available)

 

  1. FINANCE SECTION

 

  1. Position - Deputy Finance Officers (Two vacancies available)

Candidates seeking appointment as Deputy Finance Officers must:

  1. possess a master’s degree in Accounting/Finance/Economics or any related discipline with at least fifteen (15) years of relevant post-graduation working experience.

OR

  1. be a member of a recognized professional accountancy body with at least twelve (12) years of relevant post-qualification experience. The University recognizes only membership qualifications issued by the Institute of Chartered Accountants, Ghana (ICAG) and other member bodies of the International Federation of Accountants (IFAC).

AND

  1. be a Chartered Accountant and Senior Accountant for a minimum of nine (9) years in a public university or analogous organization.  

 

  1. Position - Assistant Accountants (Eight vacancies available)

Candidates seeking appointment as Assistant Accountants must:

  1. possess a master’s degree in Accounting/Finance/Economics or any related discipline with at least two (2) years of relevant post-graduation working experience.

OR

  1. be a member of a recognized professional accountancy body. The University recognizes only membership qualifications issued by the Institute of Chartered Accountants, Ghana (ICAG) and other member bodies of the International Federation of Accountants (IFAC).

AND

  1. be a Principal Accounting Assistant for a minimum of four (4) years in a public university or analogous organization.

 

  1. INTERNAL AUDIT UNIT
  1. Position - Junior Assistant Internal Auditors (Four vacancies available)

 

Candidates seeking appointment as Junior Assistant Internal Auditors must:

  1. possess a master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Auditing, or any related discipline with at least two (2) years of relevant post-graduation working experience.

OR

  1. be a member of a recognized professional accountancy body. The University recognizes only membership qualifications issued by the Institute of Chartered Accountants, Ghana (ICAG) and other member bodies of the International Federation of Accountants (IFAC).

AND              

  1. Must have practice as a Principal Auditing Assistant for a period of four (4) years in the University or comparable organization.

 

  1. PROCUREMENT OFFICE
  1. Position- Procurement Officer (One vacancy available)

 

Candidates seeking appointment as Procurement Officer of the University must:

  1. possess a master’s degree in Procurement and Supply Chain Management, or Logistics and supply Chain, Public Administration, Law, Accounting, Finance, or any related discipline with at least sixteen (16) years of relevant post-graduation working experience.

OR

  1. be a member of a recognized professional procurement body with at least sixteen (16) years of relevant post-qualification experience. The University recognizes only membership qualifications issued by the Chartered Institute of Procurement and Supply (CIPS)

AND              

  1. Must have worked at a managerial level in the Procurement office for at least twenty (20) years in a public University or comparable organization.

 

  1. WORKS AND PHYSICAL DEVELOPMENT DIRECTORATE
  1. Position - Deputy Director of Works and Physical Development (One vacancy available)

 

Candidates seeking appointment as Deputy Directors must:

  1. possess a master’s degree in the relevant area of specialty in the built environment with at least twelve (12) years of relevant post-graduation working experience.

OR

  1. be a member of a recognized professional body with at least twelve (12) years of relevant post-qualification experience. The University recognizes only professional membership qualifications in Architecture, Civil Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Quantity Surveying, or Geomatic Engineering for this position.

AND              

  1. Must have worked at a managerial level in the Works and Physical Development office for at least fifteen (15) years in a public University or comparable organization.    

Please note that, for the positions of Assistant Accountants and Junior Assistant Internal Auditors, only applicants who sought permission from University Management or who were sponsored by the University to pursue their masters degrees shall be considered.
