Prof. Frimpong Kaakyire Duku Appointed as Principal College for Distance and E-Learning (CODeL)
At its meeting held on 1st August, 2023 the Governing Council of the University of Education, Winneba appointed Prof. Frimpong Kaakyire Duku as the Principal of College for Distance and e-Learning (CODeL) effective 1st October, 2023. Prof. Kaakyire Duku is a visionary who has served on UEW faculty since 2003.
Prior to his appointment as the substantive Principal College for Distance and e-Learning (CODeL), he served as Ag. Principal, College for Distance and e-Learning, 2022, Director, Programmes and Innovation, (CODeL), UEW, Graduate Coordinator, Department of Graphic Design, 2016, Head of Department of Graphic Design, 2014 and Examination Officer, 2008.
He holds a PhD in Art Education, Master of Art Education, Bachelor of Education, Art Education/Special Education and a Diploma in Education (Art/Special Education).
He has participated in several conferences and workshops at both the local and international levels and have over 18 journal articles and 6 books (co-authored) to his credit.
Prof. Kaakyire Duku currently serves on several Statutory Boards and Committees of the University; These include the Appointments and Promotions Board, Grant Steering Committee, Student/Staff consultative Committee, ICT Board and the Academic Planning Committee.
He is currently a member of the following Associations: International Society of Education through Art (InSEA) and University Teachers Association of Ghana.
