Applications are invited from qualified employees of the University of Education, Winneba to apply for appointment to the position Deputy Internal Auditor of the University.

Educational and Professional Qualifications

The Candidate must:

  1. possess a masters degree in Accounting/Finance/Auditing/Economics or any related discipline with at least fifteen (15) years of relevant post-graduation working experience.

OR

  1. be a member or a fellow of a recognized professional auditing or accountancy body with at least twelve (12) years of relevant post-qualification experience. The University recognizes only membership qualifications issued by the Institute of Chartered Accountants, Ghana (ICAG) and other member bodies of the International Federation of Accountants (IFAC).

AND

  1. be a senior assistant internal auditor in a public university or an analogous organization.

Knowledge and Experience

The candidate must have a broad knowledge base experience in development and implementation of policies and control operational procedures, quality assurance, coordinating and implementing risk management systems, control systems, as well as auditing, assurance, and research.

The Candidate must:

  1. have a minimum of ten (10) years cumulative auditing experience at the managerial level in the Internal Audit Unit of a public university or an analogous organization.

AND

  1. show evidence of research output and experience in service development. (Must have at least eight (8) papers/publications/reports/memoranda as evidence of contribution to risk management, auditing, and assurance services).
