Department of ICT Education and Oracle Partnership

The Department of ICT Education is now an Oracle Partner as a result of the department's participation in an Oracle Training Workshop organised by Oracle at the Korean Lab of the University of Ghana mid last year.

The 5-day training was attended by two Lecturers of the Department, Mr. Daniel Danso Essel and Ms. Esther Gyimah, who received certificates of participation in Database Design and Programming with SQL.

Oracle is a Global giant in building Database Management Systems, Enterprise Software and Cloud Computing Systems and has spearheaded the Software world among other giants like IBM.

The Oracle Partnership is an initiative by Oracle to work with Organisations and Institutions by training ICT staff and Educators. This will enable Orgainisations use Oracle software as business solutions and Academic Institutions use Oracle Software to teach students Database Design and Programming.

The Department has received an Oracle Partner Plaque and other souvenirs from Oracle to this effect.
