Bereavement | UEW Loses Professor Martin Amoah
Management of the University of Education, Winneba regrets to announce the sudden death of Prof. Martin Amoah, Dean of the Faculty of Vocational Education of the College of Technology Education, Kumasi, which sad event occurred on March 22, 2020 at the Seventh Day Adventist Hospital, Kwadaso-Kumasi.
Prof. Martin Amoah joined the University of Education, Winneba as an Assistant Lecturer in March 1999 and became a Lecturer in September, 1999. In 2008, he received his PhD in Wood Utilization from the prestigious Albert-Ludwig University of Flensburg, Germany. Prof. Amoah was promoted from Lecturer to Senior Lecturer in 2009 and from Senior Lecturer to Associate Professor in January 2015. Prof. Amoah served the University in various capacities including Departmental Examination Officer, Head of Department-Design and Technology Education, Vice-Dean of Student Affairs, Vice-Dean and later Dean, Faculty of Vocational Education. He also served on various Boards and Committees. Prof. Martin Amoah was a scholar of high repute and has been cited variously in reputable peer-reviewed international journals.
