Faculty of Social Sciences Education (UEW) Collaborates with the Ghana Police Service

A delegation from the Faculty of Social Sciences Education of the University of Education, Winneba has paid a courtesy visit to the Inspector General of Police (IGP) to explore the possibility of establishing collaboration between the Centre for Conflicts, Human Rights and Peace Studies (CHRAPS) and the Ghana Police Service. This took place on Monday, 31st July, 2018 at the Police Headquarters in Accra.

 The meeting ended successfully with the IGP’s agreement to the proposal presented by the Faculty.  Subsequently, a team has been put together to work out details of the collaboration.

The University team was led by Dean of the Faculty of Social Sciences Education, Dr. Seth P. Frimpong. Other members of the delegation were the outgoing Director of CHRAPS, Dr. Harrison Golo, Head of Political Science Education, Dr. Braimah Awaisu Imurana and Dr. Kingsley Agyei of the Centre of Peace and Security Studies, University of Cape Coast.
