Biography
Dr. Jonathan Nii Barnor is a lecturer in the Department of Management Sciences at the School of Business, University of Education, Winneba. He completed his Ph.D. in Information Systems at the University of Ghana Business School, where he also earned a Master of Philosophy in Management Information Systems. He holds a Bachelor of Arts in Linguistics and Music from the University of Ghana, Legon, graduating with first-class honours.
Dr. Barnor's scholarly contributions have been recognised at significant information systems conferences such as the Americas Conference on Information Systems (AMCIS) and the Midwest Association of Information Systems Conference (MWAIS). His research on online romance fraud was notably shortlisted for best paper at the AMCIS 2020 Conference. In addition to his research, Dr. Barnor is actively involved in the academic community as a reviewer for the European Conference on Information Systems, the International Journal of E-Entrepreneurship and Innovation, MWAIS, and IGI Global.
His research interests span cyber-deviance, information systems security, digital piracy, and the impacts of social media. Dr. Barnor continues to explore these areas, contributing valuable insights into the challenges and complexities of information security and cyber behaviour.
