Winner of 2023 Laissez-Passer Global Contest Launches Project at UEW

In an inspiring initiative, a team of scholars from the University of Education, Winneba (UEW), who emerged victorious in the 2023 Laissez-Passer of the Erasmus Generation global contest, has officially launched their project, “Empowering Girls Through Menstrual Hygiene Awareness.”

The launch took place at the SLT7 Block, South Campus, UEW, on Tuesday, 28th May, 2024, coinciding with World Menstrual Hygiene Day.

Hands-On Staff Training on Hospital Management System

The Directorate of University Health Services, as part of its efforts to make its operations paperless, has collaborated with the Directorate of ICT to develop a Hospital Management System (HMS) that will serve the purpose. The HMS has been piloted and considered appropriate for use. For this reason, the Directorate is organising a 5-day training on the use of the Hospital Management System for staff of the Directorate. 

The hands-on training is scheduled as follows:

Academic Affairs Employees Receive Customer Service Training

The Division of Academic Affairs (DAA) at the University of Education, Winneba (UEW), has taken a significant step towards improving customer service through a comprehensive capacity-building seminar for its staff.

The seminar, held on Friday, 17th May, 2024, at the North Campus Mini-Conference Room, focused on enhancing the quality of interactions between DAA employees and their clients, primarily the students.

A team of researchers from the University of Education, Winneba (UEW), has earned international acclaim by securing third place in the Japanese Award for Outstanding Research on Development category at the 2023 Global Development Awards Competition.

Administered by the Global Development Network (GDN), this prestigious competition highlights exceptional research with significant policy implications for low and middle-income countries.

GMD-UEW Trains Newly Appointed Assistant Registrars in Expert Writing

The Gender Mainstreaming Directorate (GMD) at the University of Education, Winneba (UEW), has conducted a hands-on training session for Junior Assistant Registrars, focusing on minute-taking and report writing to enhance their writing competencies.

The one-day training workshop took place on Thursday, 16th May, 2024, at the North Campus Mini-Conference Room.

UEW Branch Executives of CIAMC Sworn-In

The University of Education, Winneba (UEW), marked a significant milestone on Saturday, 11th May, 2024, as the executives of the local branch of the Chartered Institute of Administrators and Management Consultants (CIAMC) – Ghana, were formally sworn into office.

The inauguration ceremony, which took place at the North Campus Mini-Conference Room, highlighted the commitment of UEW to advancing professional standards within the university community.
