UEW MPhil Student Excels as Ghana’s Sole Representative at ESAA Impact Forum 2025

A Master of Philosophy (MPhil) student at the University of Education, Winneba (UEW) has made a mark on the international stage as Ghana’s sole representative at the final phase of the Erasmus+ Students and Alumni Alliance (ESAA) Impact Forum 2025, held on Saturday, 15th November, 2025, at the Agence Universitaire de la Francophonie Conference Room, University of Abomey-Calavi, Benin.

The University of Education, Winneba (UEW) invites prospective applicants to apply for admission into its established Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) programmes for the 2025/2026 academic year. These programmes remain central to the University’s mandate and continue to equip learners with the competencies demanded across the education sector.

UEW Management Meets Family of Late First Principal, Prof. Pecku

Management of the University of Education, Winneba (UEW), has met with the family of the late Prof. Nathaniel Kofi Pecku, the first substantive principal of the then University College of Education, Winneba (UCEW).

The meeting, held at the University’s Council Chamber, served as a formal notification of his passing and an opportunity to discuss arrangements for his funeral.

UEW Art Education Department Donates ‘Big Six’ Busts to Ghana Parliament Museum

The University of Education, Winneba (UEW) through its Department of Art Education at the School of Creative Arts strengthened its contribution to national heritage with a formal donation of a bust portrait of the 'Big Six' to the newly inaugurated Ghana Parliament Museum.

The ceremony, held on Friday, 7th November 2025, marked a significant milestone for both the University and the Museum.

UEW Shines at 28th Cross Country, Hosts 2026 GUSA Games

The University of Education, Winneba (UEW) exhibited remarkable determination and teamwork at the 28th Inter-University Cross Country competition held at the University of Environment and Sustainable Development (UESD), Somanya, in the Eastern Region.  

The competition, which featured 16 public universities in the country, formed part of the Ghana University Sports Association (GUSA) Minor Games which also included disciplines such as chess, scrabble, tug of war and Ampe.
