Biography
Dr. Mohammed Adam is a Senior Lecturer and Acting Head of the Department of Social Studies Education at the University of Education. His areas of expertise include curriculum design, differentiated pedagogy, and assessment literacy. He has extensive knowledge, expertise, and experience in training instructional technologists in both pre-tertiary and tertiary institutions. Adam possesses adept skills in the analysis of research data, with a particular emphasis on qualitative and Mixed-Methods Approaches. He plays pivotal roles in national educational projects. Adam was a key figure in the development of the Social Studies curriculum and manual for the current Four-Year Bachelor of Education Programme for Colleges of Education that marked a significant advancement in teacher education. Currently, Adam is actively involved in the development of Ghana's New Senior High School curriculum, contributing to Social Studies and a member of the Technical Working Group reviewing some key national teacher education policies and frameworks. These assignments Dr. Adam engages in, highlights his dedication towards the promotion of educational standards and inclusive-oriented pedagogies glocally.
