Biography
Dr Anitha Oforiwah Adu-Boahen is a senior lecturer and current Head of the Department of History Education at the University of Education Winneba. She received her Bachelor of Education in Arts, MPhil Curriculum Studies and PhD Arts Education from the University of Cape Coast. Her primary research areas of interest include History Education, Curriculum development, implementation and evaluation. She is the author of several research papers in reputable journals and books. She has presented papers at international conferences on History Education and other education-related fields. She has also undertaken several consultancy assignments for local and international organisations, including Transforming Teacher Education and Learning (T-TEL) and the National Council for Curriculum and Assessment (NaCCA). She was involved in various international projects, such as the Free university of Berlin project on Post colonial Historical learning and the professionalisation in Teacher Training in History, focusing on West Africa. She also participated in the University of Hamburg project on the future of remembrance and worked with the Norwegian University of Science and technology (NTNU) as part of the NORPART project.
