Ms. Aggrey-Bluwey , Lawrencia

Ms. Lawrencia Aggrey-Bluwey is a Clinical Nurse, a Health Services Manager and a Lecturer with the University of Education, Winneba. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing from the University of Ghana, Legon, and a Registered General Nursing Certificate from the Nursing and Midwifery Council of Ghana. She also holds a Master of Philosophy in Health Services Management from the University of Ghana Business School and a Postgraduate Diploma in Education from the University of Education, Winneba, together with a Certificate in Project Management in Global Health from the University of Washington. Lawrencia is currently undertaking a PhD programme leading to the award of Doctor of Philosophy in Health Policy and Management. Having undertaken an array of independently initiated research projects, Lawrencia’s research interests include health systems resilience, private sector engagement in healthcare,healthcare governance, and nursing advocacy.

Ms. Aggrey-Bluwey is equipped with years of experience as a Healthcare Professional in both the public and private health sectors in Ghana, having functioned in both Emergency and Non-emergency clinical settings. She is currently focused on Academia and Research, and has skills in classroom and curriculum management, teaching, supervision, data collection and data analysis. Ms. Bluwey has a passion for training up and coming Healthcare Professionals, because she believes the only way to build a formidable Health System is to fully equip the incoming generation of Healthcare Professionals with the necessary knowledge, skills and attitude to function effectively both within and without the clinical setting.
