Biography
Dr. Rosemary Quarcoo is a Senior Lecturer at the Department of Clothing and Textiles Education, University of Education, Winneba Ghana. She is an astute and hardworking Lecturer mainly into Clothing and Textiles/Fashion education which is an aspect of Home Economics. As a Home Economist whose passion is to see to it that, everyone lives a good life as our philosophy states, she is passionate about clothing for healthy living.
She has a PhD. in Curriculum and Teaching with focus on Clothing and Textiles, M.Phil. Home Economics(Clothing and Textiles option) and a Bachelors in Education in Home Economics( Clothing and Textiles option).
She worked as a Principal Research Assistant in the University of Cape coast at Vocational and Technical Education Department before moving to University of Education, Winneba as a Lecturer and rose to her current position.
She held positions such as Academic counselor, Faculty Examination officer, Coordinator for Home Economics programmes at College of Distance Education, Head of Department for Clothing and Textiles Education, Head of Department, Integrated Home Economics Education, University of Education, Winneba.
She loves research and has attended and presented academic papers at conferences, loves organizing educational exhibitions and fairs and very passionate about seeing to work done and done well within time. She has and reviews journal articles.
Her research areas include, clothing for healthy living, social psychology of clothing, clothing production, clothing education, clothing history.
