Sefa Owusu is a senior lecturer in the Department of Applied Linguistics. He holds a Doctor of Philosophy degree in Applied Linguistics from the University of Education, Winneba, a Master of Philosophy degree in Linguistics from the University of Ghana, a Post-Graduate Diploma in Education from the University of Cape Coast, and a Bachelor's degree in Linguistics with Swahili from the University of Ghana. His research interests are Second Language Teaching and Testing, Language Planning and Policy, Linguistic Anthropology, and Phonology. He has been teaching Language Situation & Planning in Ghana, Language & Culture, Phonetics & Phonology, and Introduction to Linguistics to undergraduate students. He has also been teaching Second Language Acquisition and Curriculum Development & Language Testing to graduate students.
