The University of Education, Winneba invites applications from suitably qualified applicants within the Registry, Finance Section, Internal Audit, Directorate of Works and Physical Development, University Library and ICT Services Directorate of the University of Education, Winneba to fill vacant Senior Member positions as follows:

  1.   REGISTRY
Position - Junior Assistant Registrars

Qualification and Experience

Candidates seeking appointment as Junior Assistant Registrars in the Registrar’s Department must:

  • Hold a masters degree (e.g. MBA, MSc, MPhil, etc.) in a relevant field of study (Business Administration, Social Sciences, etc.).
  • Be at least a Principal Administrative Assistant and its equivalence in the Registry of UEW.

Other professional qualifications in a relevant field of study (eg. IHRMP, CIAMC, Law, etc) would be an added advantage.

  1.   FINANCE OFFICE
Position – Assistant Accountants

Qualification and Experience

Candidates seeking the position must:

  • Hold a first degree in a relevant area.
  • Be a Chartered Accountant [a member of a recognized professional accounting body such as the Institute of Chartered Accountants, Ghana (ICAG); the Institute of Chartered Accountants, England and Wales (ICAEW); Association of Certified Chartered Accountants (ACCA); etc.
  • Be at least a Principal Accounting Assistant in the Finance Section of UEW.

OR

  • Hold a masters degree (e.g. MBA, MSc., MPhil, MA, etc.) in a relevant field of study (Accounting, Banking & Finance, etc.).
  • Be at least a Principal Accounting Assistant in the Finance Section of UEW.

Other professional qualifications in a relevant field of study (eg. Taxation, Risk Management, Treasury Management, Stock Exchange, etc) would be an added advantage.

  1. INTERNAL AUDIT
Position – Junior Assistant Internal Auditors

Qualification and Experience

Candidates seeking the position must:

  • Have a good first degree in Accountancy (B. Com or BSc. Administration, Accounting option) in addition to the following. 
  • Be a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants, Ghana or its equivalent in any of the following professional accountancy bodies; ACCA or CIMA.
  • Be at least a Principal Auditing Assistant in the Internal Audit section of UEW.

OR

  • Hold a master’s degree (e.g. MBA, MSc., MPhil, MA, etc.) in a relevant field of study (Accounting, or Finance with at least one year relevant experience in Auditing or Accounting.
  • Be at least a Principal Auditing Assistant in the Internal Audit section of UEW.

  1. DIRECTORATE OF WORKS AND PHYSICAL DEVELOPMENT
Position – Assistant Architects/Assistant Engineers/Assistant Surveyors – Junior Assistant Registrar Level

Candidate seeking appointment for the above positions must have the following requirements:

  • BSc.  in a relevant area with master’s degree or its equivalent.
  • Be a member of recognized professional body.
  • Be at least a Principal Works Superintendent in the Directorate of Works and Physical Development

Position:  Junior Assistant Librarians – Junior Assistant Registrar Level

Qualification 

Candidate seeking appointment for the above positions must have:

  • A first degree in the relevant area.
  • MA/ MSc. degree in Library or Information Studies from a reputable University.
  • Served as a Principal Library Assistant in the University Library.

  1. ICT SERVICES DIRECTORATE
Position – Assistant Programmers/Assistant System Analysts – Junior Assistant Registrar Level

  • A two-year M.Sc. in ICT or other relevant equivalent qualification.
  • Must be at least a Principal ICT Assistant in the University.
