Overview
The office for Institutional Advancement was established in the year 2004. Its focus within UEW’s mission and vision is to positively position the University in its publics’ mind, coordinate alumni relations, enhance gifts, funds and resource solicitation; and the efficient and effective management of the UEW Endowment Fund Trust to provide supplementary budget support toward teaching, learning and research.
Office for Institutional Advancement (OIA) is made up of Alumni Relations Office and the Advancement Office that collaborate to perform the following functions:
- Promote and enhance the University image in its public’s mind
- Promote a dynamic and sustained alumni involvement
- Facilitate the management and growth of the UEW Endowment Trust Fund
- Diversify income stream through gifts and resource solicitation
- Support in the recruitment and retention of high caliber staff with advancement potential

Welcome to the homepage of the University of Education Alumni Relations Office. This is our centre for activities, communication and information.
The Alumni Relations Office is under the Directorate of Office for Institutional Advancement, University of Education, Winneba. Its role is to facilitate the relationship between the University and its alumni, through the implementation of the following:
- Establish and maintain networks with local and international alumni as well as friends of the university.
- Development of strategies that will foster together the present and future alumni into a close network of peers for the development of an active & vibrant alumni family.
- Coordinate team volunteers, students and staff who from time to time assist with functions related to the office.
- Planning, organization and coordination of local as well as international alumni events and functions.
- Ensure appropriate design, review and update of the alumni database and web pages.
- Liaise with faculties, departments, divisions etc to provide advice on alumni outreach activities.
- Make input into the development of brochures and presentation materials for alumni.
- Develop strategies for alumni activities that further advance the university.
- Keep alumni regularly informed on policies, progress and development of the university.
- Design programmes that will continually kindle students’ interest in alumni activities for a long lasting bond.
ALUMNI ASSOCIATION
The Alumni has a committee named National Executive Committee.(NEC).It consist of six members President; Vice-President; General secretary; Treasurer and lastly, Organizer.
