The Department of Music Education, School of Creative Arts, UEW, proudly presents A Night with Prof. C.W.K. Mereku, a distinguished scholar, prolific composer and an accomplished educationist.

Prof. C.W.K. Mereku is the composer of the UEW Anthem, widely recognised for combining academic scholarship with musical craftsmanship to produce works that reflect both sound research and deep artistic understanding. Through teaching and mentorship, he has helped shape the next generation of musicians, composers, and scholars, reinforcing the importance of learning and discipline in creative pursuits.

This event celebrates the life and works of Prof. C.W.K. Mereku. It recognises his intellectual depth, compositional excellence in music education, and contributions to cultural development, scholarship, musical creativity, and teaching to the academic and artistic community.
