  1. Graduates from the Human Rights, Conflict and Peace Studies programme can work as human rights educators, conflict analysts and peace programmers, peacebuilding and conflict resolution experts.
  2. Graduates can also work with development agencies including International Non-Governmental Organisations as human rights and peace programmers, gender desk officers and emergency education specialists.

Entry Requirement

The following are eligible to apply for admission as candidates for the Master of Arts (MA) and Master of Philosophy (MPhil) in Human Rights, Conflict and Peace Studies programme:

  1. Graduates with a good first degree in any social science discipline from a recognized institution.
  2. Persons who hold relevant professional qualifications equivalent to a Bachelor’s degree.
  3. Members of recognized professional institutions like the Police Service; Prisons Service; Ghana Education Service; Immigration Service; Ports and Harbours; Armed Forces; Health Services and the District, Municipal and Metropolitan Assemblies who have a Bachelor’s degree.
  4. Candidates meeting the requirements stipulated in regulations (1) to (3) must also meet other conditions or requirements as may be prescribed by the Graduate Board.
  5. Notwithstanding regulations (1) to (3) above, a candidate may be required as a condition for admission to attend and pass an interview conducted by the Centre for Conflict, Human Rights and Peace Studies.
