Abstract

Coronavirus disease is a pandemic affecting humanity all over the world. An incidence that controls the movement and activities of people. As a result, the use of medical terminology is gaining its place in everyday
language. These medical terms are technical and scientific terminologies that require understanding on the part of language users. From this perspective, we believe that it is important to translate some of the terminologies into French in order to contribute our quota of dissemination of information about Coronavirus to people who can easily understand the French language. It is also to enable students studying French understand some of the concepts in French. We took steps to read, listen to and watch the news (on television, newspapers and radio sets), on Covid-19 disease in order to take notes on the various terminologies and expressions used. Various journals and articles are also contacted and a list of terminologies is collected and translated for the purpose of this article. The result shows that there are terminologies that can easily be transferred into French. But there are some of these terminologies which are not easily rendered in French. We used some translation techniques
to help translate properly some of these medical terms.
