Analyse pragmatique du slogan de campagne électorale au Ghana « 4 more for Nana to do more for you »
The study exposes hidden messages in a political discourse from a translation perspective. The main focus of this work is to apply pragmatic theories on discourse analysis to study political communication. The study will help to derive meaning of political kind of expressions to educate the mass concerning what is said in electoral campaign messages. Through this analysis, we have come out with some important notions with hidden meaning
in order to expose clearly what is said without saying it verbally: the said, the unsaid (the presupposition, the implicature and inference). In an utterance the speaker says a lot of things and many more are left unsaid. It is worth noting that any time we communicate; there are things that are left unsaid in our utterances and the results of exchange of information contain not only the real information exchanged but also there are other information left unsaid.
