Mr. Anku , Francis Kwame
Biography
I am a special educational needs lecturer, with a specialism in the education of learners with intellectual disabilities (ID) at the University of Education, Winneba. My teaching expertise and research interests converge on key areas such as informal assessment practices and Individualised Education Plans (IEPs) development, utilising clinical teaching methods and assistive technology, and employing positive classroom and behaviour management strategies, all aimed at promoting equitable learning opportunities for all learners.
As a doctoral candidate at the University of Cape Coast, I am researching the impact of using innovative approaches to develop social skills in children with intellectual disabilities. Through my teaching, research, and advocacy, I am committed to improving the educational experiences and outcomes of learners with special educational needs, ensuring they receive the support and resources they need to thrive.
