Biography
George Asabre Maclean is a self-motivated and professionally trained teacher at Wesley College, Kumasi between 1993 and 1996 after his secondary education at the Kumasi Anglican Secondary School in 1993. He majored in Mathematics and Agricultural Science at the training college and therefore taught the two subjects at his first teaching post - Tanoso Anglican JSS, Kumasi between 1996 and 2000. His passion for music study, performance, and teaching earned him study leave for further studies at the University College of Education of Winneba to read a four-year Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) programme in Music between 2000 and 2004. His zeal and desire for iniative made him accept posting to Mfantsipim School, Cape Coast to initiate the training of boys on brass instruments for the school's marching band named as the Mfantsipim Regimental Band. Beyond teaching Music in the University, he directs choirs, adjudicates music competitions, runs workshops and provides training for wind bands for churches, schools, and communities.
