Highlife Centenary Concert: Celebrating 100 Years of Ghana’s Iconic Sound

The School of Creative Arts (SCA), University of Education, Winneba, is celebrating 100 Years of the coining of the term, “Highlife”, Ghana’s timeless sound, in grand style. We invite you to step into the rhythm, the laughter, and the legacy as we mark 100 years of a genre that defines Ghanaian identity. Highlife is not stuck in the past; it is alive, it is evolving, and this concert is your front-row seat to its rebirth!

This event is a powerful blend of classic and modern Highlife sounds with explosive performances by Professor Mark-Millas Fish, Highlife Scholar-Practitioner, backed by Ghana's top-tier Highlife band, BIGSHOTS. Also featuring are Ghana’s iconic Highlife artists, bands, and comedians who will keep you laughing all night.  Whether you are a cultural enthusiast, a music lover, or just looking for a night of great entertainment, this show will move your feet and stir your soul.
