Biography
Frank Quansah holds a PhD degree in Measurement and Evaluation from the University of Cape Coast, Ghana. He also holds M.Phil in Measurement and Evaluation and BSc (Psychology) degree. Dr. Quansah has specializations in research methodology, instrument development and validation (psychometrics), data science, statistics, programme evaluation, and educational measurement. He also loves to apply his specialized skills in research areas related to variables affecting students' academic achievement/growth, adjustments, well-being and mental health in schools and tertiary institutions.
Dr. Quansah has depth of experience in teaching at the university level since 2017, from being a teaching assistant to part-time lecturer at the University of Cape Coast, Ghana to becoming a full-time lecturer at the University of Education, Winneba. His experience at the university ranges from teaching diploma students to the postgraduate students, facilitating courses such as measurement and evaluation, psychometrics, data science, advanced statistics, psychology of human development and learning, theory and practice of measurement, and research methods.
Dr. Quansah is also experienced with planning and conducting quantitative, qualitative and mixed-methods research. As at January, 2024, Dr. Quansah had nine grants, including five conference grants and four research grants (e.g., SDG-Fund). He has as well been engaged in some consultancy works as data scientist on projects spearheaded by the Ministry of Education, Ghana Statistical Service and UNICEF. With this experience, he has five conference presentations with over 65 peer-reviewed articles including two book chapters published in reputable outlets (Frontiers, BMC, Taylor & Francis, Elsevier, Wiley & Lily, etc.) (Frank Quansah, PhD - Google Scholar). Presently, he is a guest editor for a special issue at Frontiers Mental Health Journal (Exploring Mental Health in Vulnerable Populations in Developing Countries | Frontiers Research Topic (frontiersin.org).
Dr. Quansah is open for collaboration and mentorship. He is also exploring postdoc opportunities as well.
