Biography
From the University of Ghana to the University of Education, Winneba, Latipher progressed from Graduate Assistant to Senior Lecturer. With a major in dance and a minor in music during her undergraduate studies; these two performing arts disciplines served as the foundation for her Masters and PhD studies. Her job experience includes twelve years at the Department of Theatre Arts, University of Education, Winneba, where she teaches dance-related courses. Despite being a Theatre Arts practitioner, her distinct love of technology has enhanced her ability to integrate numerous digital tools into teaching and learning. She was very instrumental at the UEW with the use of the University's Learning Management System during the Covid-19 period when the University had to shut down from face-to-face teaching and learning. Given her collegiality, cultural sensitivity, adaptability, and experience gained during her work with the Centre for International Programmes and visits to various nations as an educator she has nurtured the ability to act as a cultural ambassador. She was the lead research assistant and local coordinator for the Decolonization Education for Peace in Africa project and the 10th International Conference on Carnival and Masquerade Arts 2023, the first of its kind in Africa. As the current vice dean of student affairs, the welfare of students has been of utmost concern and she has always created an environment for students to talk and interact freely with her. In a world where cultural awareness is essential, she stands out as someone who can bridge cultural divides and build a harmonious environment for all.
