Leader in Teacher Education

The Faculty comprises two centres, one unit, and one department, offering two undergraduate and seven postgraduate programmes. It also delivers Liberal and African Studies across the University, strengthening its academic contribution at the institutional level.

Our programmes are intentionally designed to balance academic rigour with practical relevance. The goal is to develop graduates who are not only knowledgeable but also capable, with the skills, mindset, and confidence required to succeed in a competitive global environment.

At FLiSSE, students learn from experienced faculty and staff, engage in forward-looking research, and operate within a dynamic academic environment that supports continuous growth. Whether the objective is career advancement, social impact, or intellectual discovery, the Faculty provides a strong foundation for success.

Vision

To become Ghana’s leading faculty in human rights, conflict resolution, peacebuilding, and religion and moral education.

The Faculty aims to achieve international recognition for excellence in transdisciplinary teaching and research. It seeks to advance innovative learning, critical thinking, creativity, and problem-solving while promoting social justice and cultural understanding. Its long-term focus is to support ethical, transformative development and research within Ghana and the wider global community.
