M.Ed. Special Education
Entry Requirement
A candidate seeking admission into a higher degree or graduate diploma in the University of Education, Winneba (UEW) shall normally be:

A graduate of the UEW or of other Universities recognised by the Academic Board of UEW.

A person who holds a good B.Ed. degree in Special Education approved by the Academic Board, on
recommendation of the Graduate Board.

A candidate may be required, as a condition for admission, to undergo such tests as may be prescribed
by the Department concerned with his/her proposed work or to take such other pre-requisite or
concurrent studies and examinations as may be prescribed, subject to the overall control of the Board.
The specific entry requirements shall be any of the following:
1. A good Bachelor’s degree in Special Education. The bachelor’s degree should normally not be below Second Class (Lower Division).

A professional qualification approved by the academic Board as being equivalent to a good Bachelor’s degree. The professional qualification must be in Special Education, Community-Based into which admission is sought.

A good Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline/profession such as nursing etc. from a recognised Public University.

An academic transcript shall be required for the admission.
