UEW & FUTO GIANT Research Team Presents Project Findings to Stakeholders

In a collaborative research effort between the University of Education, Winneba (UEW), and the Federal University of Technology, Owerri (FUTO), a joint team of researchers has hosted a symposium at the Cape Coast Metropolitan Assembly Hall to unveil pivotal findings from their project, "Walking as a Mode of Transport in 'Unwalkable' Contexts: Cross-City Experiences from Ghana and Nigeria (GIANT)."

SCA-UEW, German NGO Empower Weavers & Students with Handloom Project

The School of Creative Arts (SCA) at the University of Education, Winneba (UEW), in a bid to foster economic empowerment and skill development, has embarked on an initiative in collaboration with a Non-Governmental Organisation (NGO) from Germany aimed to revolutionise handloom production.

The project will benefit both students studying fashion and textiles at UEW and professional weavers within the Effutu community.

In a concerted effort to enhance the academic prowess of its faculty members, the Faculty of Social Sciences Education (FSSE) at the University of Education, Winneba (UEW), hosted a dynamic staff development seminar.

CCMAF Project Team Engages Stakeholders at Project Inception

In an initiative to combat climate change and empower local communities, a consortium of researchers from the University of Education, Winneba (UEW), UEW-Cooperative Credit Union (UEW-CCU), and Hen Mpoano have convened a pivotal stakeholder seminar.

Held at the scenic Aborigines Beach Resort in Keta, the seminar marked the inception of the "Carbon Credits for Mangrove Farmers: A Pilot Study at Anyanui, Volta Estuary of Ghana (CCMAF)" project.

The Department of Political Science Education (DPSE) at the University of Education, Winneba (UEW), successfully organised its Third Annual Colloquium at the North Assembly Auditorium, North Campus.

The event brought together scholars, dignitaries, and experts to discuss the theme, "Politics Amidst Global Uncertainties: Options for Building a Resilient Society."
