UEW and UNESCO Launch MIL Adaption Project for Teachers
Eight scholars from the University of Education, Winneba (UEW) have launched an initiative aimed at integrating Media and Information Literacy (MIL) into Ghana’s teacher education system.
The project, supported by a UNESCO Ghana grant, seeks to adapt and implement the UNESCO MIL Curriculum to equip trainee teachers with the competencies needed to navigate the increasingly complex digital information landscape.

SoB-UEW Hosts THINKGEES Entrepreneurship and Employability Workshop
The School of Business (SoB) at the University of Education, Winneba (UEW), in collaboration with the UEW Innovation Hub, the University of Ghana Business School (UGBS), the British Council and AfriVenture has organised a capacity-building workshop to train students in entrepreneurship, innovation and employability skills.

UEW Partners with eTranzact to Enhance ICT Education
The Management of the University of Education, Winneba (UEW) and eTranzact Ghana Limited have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to promote technological innovation, strengthen research collaboration and enhance the employability of students through practical industry experience in financial technology and mobile technology development.
The agreement was signed at the Council Chamber of the University on Thursday, 16th October, 2025.

UEW Inaugurates 17-Member Endowment Trust Fund Board
Justice Jacob Charles Amonoo-Monney, Chairman of the Governing Council of the University of Education, Winneba (UEW), on Monday, 13th October, 2025, inaugurated a 17-member Board for the University’s Endowment Trust Fund (ETFB) at the Council Chamber of the University.
The inauguration contributes to strengthening UEW’s financial sustainability and advancing its vision of becoming an internationally reputable institution for teacher education and research.
