On Nov. 28 the faculty offered students and employees the opportunity to learn more about the school system and teacher education in Ghana as well as about the ongoing cooperation between the UHH and the University of Education in Winneba Ghana during a talk given by Prof. Dandy George Dampson, guest lecturer, and Prof. Telse Iwers.

UEW and U.S. Researchers Secure NASA Grant for Innovative Education Project
Two distinguished scholars from the University of Education, Winneba (UEW), Prof. Sakina Acquah and Dr. Benedict Arko, have joined forces with renowned researchers from the United States, Dr. Alvitta Ottley, Associate Professor of Computer Science and Engineering at Washington University in St. Louis (WUSTL), and Amanda Makulec, an Independent Consultant. Together, they have been awarded a prestigious grant by the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) through the Gordon Research Conferences.
UEW Scholars Secure Grant for Innovative Coastal Resilience Project
In a notable development, Dr. Adams Osman, Project Lead, and Mrs. Christiana Kilson, respectively from the University of Education, Winneba (UEW), and the UEW- Co-operative Credit Union (CCU), have clinched a grant award of $148,400 from the United Kingdom’s Department for Environmental, Food, and Rural Affairs (DEFRA)/Ocean Risk and Resilience Action Alliance (ORRAA). This significant grant is in support of their collaborative venture with Hen Mpoano.
Examination Officers and Graduate Coordinators Undergo Orientation
The University of Education, Winneba (UEW), has taken a proactive step in upholding the integrity of its examinations by organising a comprehensive orientation workshop for newly appointed examination officers and graduate coordinators.
