Ms. Mahamah, Rhoda
Biography
Rhoda was born in Buipe, now in the Savannah Region of Ghana. She completed her primary education in Canada. Rhoda completed a BA in Integrated Development Studies at the University for Development Studies in 2006, an MSc in International Development at Wageningen University in 2010, and is currently a Ph.D. student at the University of Cape Coast.
At UEW, Rhoda facilitates learning among prospective Community-Based Rehabilitation and Disability Studies professionals in courses including Introduction to Project Management, Disability and Development Studies, Research Methods-Case study, Introduction to Disability and Development in Africa, Community-Based Rehabilitation Matrix, and Introduction to Special Education. She supervises long essays of the same set of students and is the Patron for the National Association of Gonjaland Students (NAGS)-UEW (Winneba Campus).
Prior to UEW, Rhoda worked at the African Institute for Mathematical Sciences (AIMS) Ghana, Youth Empowerment Synergy (YES)- Ghana, MicroFinance Transparency, Right to Play Ghana, and Northern Empowerment Synergy. She has worked with diverse groups of individuals within the African continent. She has a third eye for development-oriented initiatives and is endowed with strong interpersonal, and negotiation skills.
Rhoda is an Anne van den Ban Scholar. She enjoys traveling, reading, gardening, and time with family and friends.
