Biography

Florence is a Senior Lecturer of Special Education at the University of Education, Winneba, Faculty of Applied Behavioral Sciences in Education, Department of Special Education (SPED). She is a Fulbright Scholar and teaches both undergraduate and postgraduate students in her department. As an academic counselor, she provides guidance and advice to enhance students’ development, improves the quality of learning environment, and coach students to meet their academic and career goals. She also conducts programmes for students with unique goals and coordinates outreach activities for high-risk students to promote retention. She plays advocacy roles and collaborates with other professionals in the provision of adults and community services for individuals with exceptional abilities through rehabilitation and mental health programs. She is currently the leader and author of instructional manuals for Campaign for Learning Disabilities (CLED –Ghana), and the leader of EN-Quest Services; an educational service provider for diverse learners and their families. Currently, she is pursuing her PhD in Special Education at the University of Education, Winneba.
