I have nine (9) years of experience as an educator and researcher in Information Technology at the tertiary level with sound knowledge of teaching, mentoring and supervising undergraduate research projects.
Over the past nine (9) years, I have worked in the position of a Lecturer, and currently as a Senior Lecturer in the Department of ICT Education in the Faculty of Science Education of my University. I have also served my university in the capacity of Exams Officer, Patron and academic counsellor to students in my department and currently as the general ICT course coordinator.
I have an innate passion for teaching and have taught several courses from year one to year four in our undergraduate ICT Education programme. The value I seek to bring includes offering quality education to my students, encouraging creativity and higher-order thinking in a way that increases students’ performance, and collaborating with colleagues in my department and field to conduct cutting-edge research that will improve teaching and learning in my field.
I am passionate about many things. I love teaching. I love to write, I love art, children, everything food, and animals. I am also passionate about young females getting into IT. I hope to inspire many young females by mentoring them and being a role model for them. My goal is to make an impact on many young females by empowering them and helping them have a sense of connectedness and fulfillment in choosing IT as a career.
